Welcome to Scanlon!
Our city is full of pride and rich in history. Scanlon was incorporated December 30, 1901.
One of the best resources the city has is the wonderful people who live here. They are warm, friendly, and take great pride in their city. Just take a drive around the city and you will see beautiful gardens, lush lawns and many smiling faces.
Scanlon joined the Cloquet Area Fire District as of January 1, 2011.
Scanlon has seen much expansion in recent years both in residential as well as commercial development, including the “Suncrest Assisted Living Facility” located on Washington Avenue.
The Scanlon Community Center is home to Mary Lee’s School of Tumbling & Gymnastics. Summer lessons Weds afternoon & evenings please call Mary Lee Jensen for more information 218-390-2075 or 879-6288.

We also house the City Clerk’s office, the Water Sewer department and The Cloquet Area Fire District Station 3 as well as the Cloquet Area Fire District offices.
