About
Serving as your voice in the Minnesota House of Representatives has truly been a privilege.
My husband Bill and I have made Itasca County our home for just over 40 years now. We’ve raised our two sons here and, like you, have enjoyed all that living in northern Minnesota has to offer.
I first ran for office two years ago because I wanted to put my experience to work for you in St. Paul. I appreciate the confidence you have placed in me and I hope you’re as proud as I am of the accomplishments we have achieved over the past two years.
Working as part of our Republican majority and within a divided government, we passed the largest tax cut for Minnesotans in nearly two decades. We made the largest investment in roads and bridges in state history without a gas tax increase. And we made nation-leading reforms to stop double-digit premium increases and expand health care options.
In addition to these statewide accomplishments, I was happy to champion expanded broadband for rural communities like ours, pass long-awaited IRRRB governance reforms and a Sustainable Forest Incentive Act bill that served as the vehicle for an out of court tax settlement with Blandin Paper Company that saved local property tax payers millions of dollars.
I genuinely feel we are on the right track and, with a new governor soon to be elected, opportunities abound for us in Northern Minnesota.
I hope you will help me return to St. Paul and continue the work.
