KITTSON COUNTY County Highway Engineer The position is responsible for administrative and professional engineering work in directing the operations of the County Highway Department. Responsible for the direction of all road engineer- ing and maintenance projects through subordinate engineering and maintenance personnel with whom the technical and supervisory work is delegated. Work is performed with substantial inde- pendence within established policies and ordinances set forth by the Minnesota Department of Transportation and Kittson County, and approval of engineering and operating programs by the Board of County Commissioners. Wage range: $85,000 - $100,000 DOQ and experience; includes benefit package. Job Requirements: Must have graduated from an accredited college or university with a de- gree in Civil Engineering or equivalent, and be a licensed professional engineer in the State of Min- nesota OR have the ability to be certified within 1 year from the date of hire. Must have knowledge of the principles and practices of civil or highway engineering, as well as knowledge of Microsoft Office Programs. Job Experience: Supervising, coordinating and evaluating the work of engineering and main- tenance staff while promoting teamwork. Implement preliminary survey and designs for various engineering projects using engineering principles with attention to detail, and must have experi- ence in AutoCAD.
